    Sheerah's Sharpshooter
WWF Invasion is coming, and WCW is showing no mercy!

It's once again time to hear from your hostess with the mostess… the one whose almost your Ayatollah of Rock'n Rolla… your Paragon of Purple (interesting nick-name with an odd story behind it), Sheerah L. Fisher! In this edition, you'll have the basic stuff, Quote of the Bi-month, Trivia contest, opinions on the happenings of the past two weeks, and my predictions for the upcoming WWF PPV. But first, lets start with the Trivia contest… and we have a winner! This editions winner… is…

    Brian Laughlin!!!

Congratulations Brian! The correct answer was Paul Bearer. Now I know haven't done this for a while, but for the new readers, I'll go through the rules of the trivia contest. 1)You may only enter once for each different contest (in other words, you can't enter five times with the five possible answers). 2) The first person to answer it right is the winner. Those are basically the only rules. So now, on to this column's Trivia contest!

What name did Savio Vega wrestle under in Japan and Mexico?
    1)El Dynamo
    3)Savio Vega
    4)The Masked Jelapano
    5)None of the above

Well, I guess I should start off with a subject that I haven't mentioned in a while, and that is rating news! Last time I reported on Rating News, it was the first week that Raw didn't have the competition of WCW, and they got a 5.4 composite. Well, since then they haven't done quite as good. Last week they did a 4.7 composite, from a 4.4 for the first hour, and a 5.1 for the second. That is down from what they've gotten in the past, but high from the week before last, which they scored a 4.6. I'll even admit that they're missing something, but I'm not quite sure what. Maybe it's the absence of Triple H and the Rock. But I still think that if they brought back some more interesting WCW stars, the ratings would go higher. Now, on to the weekend Ratings news. WWF Livewire did a .9, while Superstars did a .8. Sunday Night Heat did a 1.6, and the replay did a 1.0. Yep, ones things for sure, ever since the WWF switch networks, their ratings have gone down. Not terribly down, but down enough.

Well, once again I missed an interesting segment on Smackdown. To be quite honest, I don't know what kind of problem that Vince McMahon is having with Austin. Personally, I like the new Stone Cold! I mean, the merciless Rattlesnake is okay, but I like his new and odd personality. Sure, he doesn't go around putting concrete into cars, and stunning the chairman of the WWF, but at least now he's got a personality! Yes, I will admit, the old Stone Cold would probably be better to fight the WWF/WCW/ECW war, but this current Stone Cold is more interesting to watch. But hey, that's just my personal opinion. And from personal experience, I know my opinion isn't always the most popular one, especially when it's about Austin, Booker T., or Hulk Hogan. Btu with this Austin thing, isn't there any way that we could have both of them at once? Come on, Vince, it's been a while since I've complained about Austin, and now I actual like him! If you bring back that cold, personalitiless guy, chances are he'll be boring to me again. We only need ONE person with the personality of a Dead-Man in this sport. Although in my opinion, one is too many.

You know, I've been thinking, and I'm not quite sure about this WWF/WCW/ECW angle. I mean, it has potential to be great, and it's pretty great right now. But, it's so N.W.O.-ish, and the excitement of this angle will die down, and then there won't be much of a way to go, like with what happened to WCW. I haven't looked at the news lately, but I hope that this is just an angle that they plan on having until they can find a place for WCW to air. One thing that is puzzling me is not knowing who the faces and the heels are. Or I guess I should say, who are the fan favorites, and who do the fans hates. Of course it doesn't really matter. I have a feeling that we may never know, but the WWF wants ECW to be heels. Because they aligned them with Stephanie McMahon, one of the most hated superstars in federation history, plus they had the Dudley Boyz attack Spike, who is a big fan favorite. And I'm guessing that WCW will be heel, because of some not-so-nice chants towards Booker T., and the fact that 'Take and DDP are in a heated feud, in which 'Taker is loved by everyone with the exception of me.

Would you believe it? I actually cheered for Chris Jericho. Of course, he was facing Booker T., so I didn't quite see how I couldn't. Not only that, but I was actually unhappy when Jericho lost. Even that I was unhappy with the outcome, I still find Nick Patrick's refereeing entertaining. Sorry, even if I don't like the guy, I still can't help but love a bias referee. I know, he's no Charles Robinson, but he's pretty good nonetheless. I guess Jericho isn't quite that bad anymore, but I still don't like his catch phrases that he uses over, and over again. However, with Booker T, I don't like his over-use of catch phrases either, and I guess I'm still unhappy about his past WCW gimmick where he was a Rock carbon copy.

Alright, right now I just want to mention a few random things. First, how on earth did Jeff Hardy win the Hardcore title? By the way, that was a rhetorical question. I'm sorry, but in my mind, Jeff Hardy isn't very signature Hardcore. Sure, he's a death defyer, but I still can't picture him as a Hardcore champion. Well, I guess I had better, because that's what he is. Secondly, I love Perry Saturn. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. He's a good athlete, and not only that, he's fun to watch. Sorry, you all know how I love to see a good psycho gimmick. And with David Flair and Daphne gone, the only one left is Perry Saturn.

Well, I guess it's about time that I have the Quote of the Bi-month section! There were some fairly memorable sayings that happened the past two week. Actually, when Kurt Angle and Raven were fighting, it reminded me of a quote said by Larry Zbysco when DDP was fighting Raven, and he hit Raven in the back right on the tattoo of his stained glass window. If memory serves me correctly, Zbysco said "Oh no! I think DDP just broke the window!". I was tempted to use that one, but decided against it since it wasn't said within the last two weeks, and there were some better things said. I also considered giving the award to Perry Saturn who said "Snausages" in response to Paul Heymen asking him to join ECW. But, there were some quote from Edge and Christian that deserve the spotlight this week. In fact, I can't even chose between the two, so we have a tie for this edition's Quote of the Bi-month! And they are… "If I could be serious for a minute…. Off-beat shenanigans rule!" - Edge talking to Lance Storm with Mike Awesome… and… "Holy Jurassic Park! I can't believe we actually stumbled upon a real live reak-a-sorous Rex!" - Christian talking to Lance Storm and Mike Awesome.

It's once again time for the World Wrestling Federation to put on a nice pay-per-view. I've looked at the card, and the matches look great. Although, I still wish they'd bring in some better people for the WCW Invasion, but I'm guessing that will either happened at the end of the pay-per-view, or not happened for a while (if at all). But anyway, as usual, I will be giving my predictions for the event. I personally think this PPV could be a big one, especially since they seem to be leading up to something great. But anyway, on to my predictions! The first match I want to comment on is the Earl Hebner vs. Nick Patrick match. I really like the way that the WCW/WWF feud is working with everyone in the federation, and not just the wrestling (although, I wish they'd start an announcer feud). Actually, I never really liked Nick Patrick that much as a referee. Yeah, sure he was with the NWO for a while, but he was still boring. Now Charles Robinson, he was a cool referee! Especially when he was going through that "I idolize Ric Flair" stage in his refereeing life. So, with this match, I would have to go with Earl Hebner. Because not only is he my favorite, he seems to be one fired up dude in this feud! Next, Edge and Christian vs. Lance Storm and Mike Awesome. I hate to choice between the two teams, since I'm an avid E & C fan, but I'm also a big fan of Lance and the former Fat Chic Thriller, Mike Awesome. Angle wise, I don't have much of a clue as to who will win. But I would like to see Edge and Christian win, but I have this deep, dark, sinking feeling that Lance Storm and Mike Awesome will be the victors in this match. Next on the list, Tazz vs. Taijiri. The only thing I have to say about this match is that Taijiri is awesome, Tazz sucks (NY favoritism only goes so far with me and Tazz), and Taijiri should win. Next on the list is X-pac vs. Kidman. To be quite frank, I don't like either compeditor. X-pac is annoying, Kidman is annoying, so in my personal opinion the Big Show should interrupt the match and beat the stuffing out of both of them. But that can't really be a prediction, since I know that won't happen. So my prediction for that match will be that Kidman wins with the help of Chavo Guerrero Jr. (see, now if the bookers really knew what they were doing, they'd set up a feud between Chavo and Eddie, since both of them together have been known to spike ratings). Next on the list of matches is the first ever Bra and Panties tag team match. As always, I just want to go on the record and say that I hate those type of matches, and I wish that they would be put to an end. Anyway, this match features Trish Stratus and Lita going up against Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. I'm guessing that Stacy and Wilson will leave victorious, because the WWF likes to job Trish in really important matches (even though she's probably a better wrestler than both Keibler and Wilson). And for the last match, the Inaugural Brawl. Team WWF (Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Kane, Undertaker, and Chris Jericho) vs. Team WCW/ECW (Booker T., Rhyno, Diamond Dallas Page, and Bubba and Dvon Dudley). This should be a good match angle-wise, athletic wise I'm not quite sure. Hopefully the WWF has some big surprised planned at the end to make it interesting. I'm pretty sure that this match won't end in any traditional way. My prediction is that team WCW/ECW will be the winners. It's the golden rule of invasion, you beat the heck out of the people that you're invading, and then they beat the heck out of you. One things for sure, this is not going to be a very good night for Team WWF.

Well, that'll be it for this week. Basically the only thing left is my Closing Remarks, so I'll c-ya next edition!

~I don't care if Stephanie owns ECW, she's still my hero! But here's something to think about… where will Triple H be when he comes back?

~A solute to my favorite referee: Charles is in charge!

    ~I miss Steven Richards
