DDP? In the WWF? I never thought I'd see the day!

Hello to all the Sheerah's Sharpshooter fans out there! This was a rather big week in wrestling. Well, actually, it was normal, with the exception that Sara's stalker was revealed. In this week's Sharpshooter, I'll mention a bit about Sara's stalker, WCW stars, an odd Bret Hart rumor, and a few more things, including King of the Ring predictions. Also, I'll bring back the Trivia contest as well, and Quote of the Bi-month. So, first, I'll do trivia. This week's Trivia question is…

How many times did Yokozuna capture the WWF Heavyweight Title?
    1) 1
    2) 2
    3) 3
    4) 4
    5) None of the above

The last couple of Monday nights ago (to be more specific, the Monday before my last column), I received an IM from a friend with the news that Bret Hart had joined the WWF. I found it incredibly hard to believe. So, I looked at a trusty news site, and found that the rumor was supposedly true. But then I heard news from the HitmanClub, that as I originally thought, the rumors were 100% false. To be quite honest, I don't even see how such a rumor could have started. It's well-known that Bret Hart and Vince McMahon basically hate each others guts. Then there's that little betrayal that happened a few Survivor Series ago. Then on top of that you have to add the Owen Hart accident. Add them all together, and I think the sum equals that Bret Hart won't be seen in the WWF ever again. I don't even remember seeing Bret in the audience when Stu Hart and a lot of the rest of the Hart family were there. Actually, I was shocked to see them there. So I guess if the Hart family showed up in the WWF, there may be a chance that Bret would join. Although, the chances would be 1 in 100,000,000, but still, there's a chance, small nonetheless. Speaking from a selfish fan point of view, I really would like to see Bret back on TV occasionally. You know, not full time, but maybe a deal like Mick Foley has going on with the WWF where he makes appearances every once in a while. But speaking from normal "Sheerah" point of view, I know it will never happen. Heck, he wouldn't even join WCW now that it's run by Shane McMahon. But if memory serves me correctly, Shane and Bret did get along pretty well, but even with that, I don't think he'll be going back there either.

Once again, it looked like I missed a good Smackdown. How could I have missed Spike Dudley, my favorite Dudley, get his shot at the World Wrestling Federation Title! But at least I got to see a little bit of the follow-up, and the interview on Raw. It was another entertaining moment in the WWF. Personally, I like to see some of the non-main eventers get world title shots. You know, I bet you're probably all wondering why I found that segment so entertaining, considering that I am a Spike and Molly fan, and they were the victims of that segment. To be quite honest, I just like the part where Austin called Molly and "bimmmmboooooo", and Molly slapped him across the face. Yes, I know, I'm easily amused. One of my favorite things to do in restaurants is to take the straw to my soda, twirl it around in my beverage really fast, and let it go and watch it go 'round and 'round the glass. That is just an example of how easily amused I can be at times.

Austin has certainly been acting odd lately. It could be because he's forced into an unfair 3-way match at King of the Ring. Austin's character has always been a bit over-the-edge, with a short fuse, but now he's gone way out. Believe it or not, I actually kind of like him now. He's different. Whoa… I just realized that I'm the Master of the Obvious. Anyway, I especially like the way Tajiri has tuned into his personal psychologist. Speaking of Tajiri, I'm very happy to see him in the WWF. I miss seeing some good Japanese wrestling. The good thing about Japanese wrestlers coming over is that they bring some funky looking moves with them. Of course, I've seen most of the ones he did, but that's only because I've seen his handy work in Japan, and I've seen other wrestlers from the orient use those moves. Actually, I think the only one I haven't seen in the Tarantula, which is one pretty awesome looking move. I really wish that they didn't job him on Monday, but hey, it's the WWF, what could you expect.

Alright, lets take a little break here and do the infamous Quote of the Bi-month! There were a lot of quotes that I enjoyed hearing, most of them came from Steve Austin, or Diamond Dallas Page. One that I found good was when DDP said "Undertaker, just like the Diamond Cutter, you never saw it coming". But the only reason I actually liked it is because it reminded me of when Triple H said the phrase "you never saw it coming" about twenty times in one interview. However, there was another thing said by DDP that outdid that last saying, therefore I'm going to make it Quote of the Bi-month. "You told Stone Cold that if he messed with your wife, that you'd make him famous. Duh, Undertaker, Idiot, Stone Cold is already famous" - DDP on the stupidity of the Undertaker.

I just recently saw the most shocking segment on Raw. Diamond Dallas Page was revealed as Sara's stalker. Or in Page's words, he "made her famous". To be quite frank, out of the entire WCW and WWF roster to chose from, he was the last person I would have expected them to pick. I would've thought they'd pick someone with a past history with 'Taker, but instead they went with the "make me famous" deal. Hey, there's nothing wrong with that, I'm not complaining. I'm just joyful to DDP back on TV. Sorry, I'm still a fan of the Jersey Triad, and chances are that during this entire feud, I'm going to continue to remain a DDP fan. I miss his charismatic nature, and his catch phrases, and just him altogether. In my point of view, this could be a very good feud. That is, if Undertaker would turn into a human being in the entire thing, and not this super-human, dead man with no emotion. The Undertaker is okay in mic working I guess, but he's really not the best at it. If he could just learn to be human in the ring, and show emotion, it would work. And I'm talking any kind of emotion, whether it be happy, sad, angry, or even depressed, I don't particularly care just as long as he isn't the Dead Man. I know some of you out there are probably in shock that the WWF picked Page to be the stalker, and probably most of you think it's a horrible idea. Well, just give it time, Page is a pro in the business, and I have no doubt that he'll spice things up in the WWF.

You know, seeing DDP on Raw made me realize how much I miss seeing the WCW wrestlers. I mean, you had Lance Storm, Chavo Guerrero Jr, and the trio I really miss, Daphne, David Flair, and Crow Bar. Even though they really weren't a trio when WCW was sold, they still totally rocked. Another person I miss is Ric Flair. I miss his strut, and the way he walked the isle, styled and profiled. If there was ever one person who could work a crowd, and give a grade A interview, it has to be the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. However, the one person I miss the most, I haven't mentioned yet. He is the one, the only, the Franchise, STING! Sting has to be the most charismatic superstars that World Championship Wrestling has ever had. The worst part is, I don't even know what his contract situation is. I know that some of the WCW wrestler contracts were bought out, but I don't know if his was as well. Hopefully, we'll all be seeing these guys in the near future when WCW opens up, or maybe if we're lucky they'll be making appearances in the WWF. We have seen a bit of Lance Storm, so that's good. But then again, Stacy Keibler also made her presence known, which is something I could have lived without.

I really hate seeing Edge and Christian fighting. They are without a doubt my favorite tag team, and I truly do not want to see them brake up. I will admit, if they had a feud it would be a pretty interesting one. Both of them have great characters, and the matches and interviews for the feud would be very memorable. So I guess I could look forward to that, but I still think that they are an awesome team. One thing I've noticed about Edge and Christian with the King of the Ring contest is that Christian gets all of the hard guys. Edge faced some unknown easy wrestler (I don't remember who he was, but I remember that he wasn't the best guy in the world), and then Perry Saturn. Whereas Christian faced Kane, and then the Big Show. Is it just me, or do the matches seem to be a little bit uneven? But at least they're in the King of the Ring, even though they'll probably end up facing each other, and will probably break-up their tag team.

Well, I guess now it's about time that I do my King of the Ring predictions, seeing as it is this Sunday! First, for the Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon in a Street Fight, that's a pretty hard prediction to make. Seeing as how I think it will depend on how Kurt does in the King of the Ring tournament. But to be quite honest, I don't see our Olympic Hero coming away with a win here, so my prediction is that Shane McMahon will be the victor in this match. Next is Stone Cold vs. Benoit vs. Jericho. Somehow, I don't quite know how, but somehow I think Austin will retain the title. Even though Chris and Chris seem to be a team, the thought of Heavyweight Gold has been known to break teams apart. Next up, is the actual King of the Ring tournament. I can see things going one of two ways. 1: Kurt Angle and Rhyno make it to the finals, and then Kurt Angle wins, and does a "repeat", as he likes to call it. 2: Christian and Edge make it to the finals, and somehow end up pinning each other at the same time, causing a double King of the Ring (but that might just be wishful thinking). Choise #2 seems to be a bit shaky, so my prediction will be for Kurt Angle.

Well, that's it for this week, I hope you enjoyed this edition of Sheerah's Sharpshooter! Before I leave, I just want to mention two things. First off, to anyone who has e-mailed me in the past week that I haven't e-mail back yet, sorry. I will e-mail you back, but I'm a bit behind with my e-mail, so it may take me a day or two. That will be it for this edition, c-ya next time!

~"We're in the Ice Palace in Tampa Florida"… the phrase "Ice Palace in Tampa Florida" seems like an oxymoron to me.

~HaHa… Regis looks small compared to Foley!

~I'm so happy that they changed Debra's style

~HaHa… I love this Perry Saturn thing!
